One of the real benefits of your own digital maps is the ability to add your own shapes, designs and ideas directly onto it, so you can move them around and play with ideas.

Luckily this is really simple to with your LandInsight account.

Step 1:
Open the drawing toolbar by clicking the icon in the top right-hand corner.

Step 2:

Select the drawing tool you wish to use from the toolbar.

The Rectangle and Circle tools allow you to draw rectangles and circles by clicking and dragging on the map.

The Polygon tool allows you to draw irregular shapes by clicking where you want the first point to be, and then clicking as many times as you need for subsequent points:

Step 3:

Once you've finished the shape, you'll see a panel open on the right of the screen. In here you'll see the area and perimeter of the shape you've drawn.

You can change the units by clicking on the highlighted sections on the right, either to switch between imperial and metric, or smaller and larger units.

Step 4:

Want to duplicate the shape? Click on the three dots in the right-hand box and select Duplicate.

Step 5:

Don't need the shape anymore? Simply click the bin icon to remove it.
