About the Data
I’ve found an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for a site, but the site’s details aren’t listed on LandInsight. Why not?

Why all data is not created equal

Almost all properties in the UK require an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) when they’re built, sold or rented.

These certificates are public, so you can find the information online. But, just because the information is public, doesn’t mean we're allowed to do what we want with it...

Why we can't show you the data

There are strict rules governing the data, and in the case of EPCs that includes rules that prevent us from using tools to access the information and put it to use on LandInsight.

We’re talking to central government about these kinds of restrictions, so if it ever changes we’ll be the first to know and start opening access to that information up for you.

Until we can, you can still find the details online free of charge by searching for a property’s address or directly by the EPC report reference number if you have it.
